Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear Athletes, Parents and Carers

We are naturally getting a lot of questions around the Coronavirus situation and felt it appropriate to update you on our plans as a Club.

We are following advice from Public Health England and are taking a measured ‘common sense’ approach.  At the moment we have no plans to stop training and our training schedule and events remain unchanged.  We are continuing to plan for the upcoming Track and Field League Season and will tailor our approach accordingly.

To ensure the well-being and safety of all athletes, parents & carers we would ask you all to follow the guidelines below:

  • If you have a high temperature (above 37.8) or a cough you should self-isolate and stay at home.  You should not attend training sessions.
  • If you are concerned about your symptoms, please follow the advice given on the NHS 111 online coronavirus service.  Please use the online system before phoning 111 to avoid putting unnecessary pressure on the service which is already over-stretched. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
  • Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap & water.
  • Practice respiratory hygiene – cover your nose or mouth with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately and wash your hands.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will keep everyone updated as and when necessary.

If you have any questions please email nacenquiries@outlook.com with ‘coronavirus’ in the subject line.
