Lower Youth Development League – match 2 report

The 2024 YDL Lower campaign continued as it started, with another HUGE WIN in Nuneaton
NAC were almost 160 points clear in round two, leaving us top of the table with a combined score of 833 points, compared to 461 for Saffron in second place.  There were some exceptional performances by the whole team.
NAC winners included:

Maxim Hyams was 1st A in the Javelin and 1st B in the 100m

Gabriel Melczynski was 1st B in the 1500m and long jump

Harry Flowers won the U15 long jump

In the U15 shot, Ewan Hartley was 1st A, William Lickerish, 1st B.  William was also 1st A for the discus

Imogen Bennetts won the U15G 800m

In the U15 shot, Peyton Egbegi and Steph Longden were 1st A & B respectively

More sterling U13 performances from  Matthew Olupitan and Hollie Sanders, winners of both the 75m and 150m.

Seth Sognigbe and Julia Janikowska won the shot,  and Brooke Williams the long jump

In the relays, the U13’s won both 100m. The U15 girls won the 300m, and the boys won the 100m.


NAC top scorers were:
U13: Matthew Olupitan (18 points), Julia Janikowska (19 points)
U15: Ewan Hartley (20 points) and Peyton Egbedi (18 points)
