Lower Youth Development League – match 3 – NAC top the table!

The 2024 YDL Lower campaign ended as it started, with another HUGE WIN in the sunshine in Leamington Spa. This meant that NAC ended the campaign top of the table in our division, with a massive 1,272 points. Well done Team NAC!

It was a gloriously sunny day for the final YDL-Lower match.  Is this the start of summer??

Once again, NAC were class of the field, finishing comfortably ahead of the other teams

NAC Winners were:

U15 boys:  Cameron Irving (100m A, 200m A, long jump), Maxim Hyams (100m B, javelin A), Ewan Hartley (200m B, shot putt A), Seif El-Wakeil (300m B), Jude Nutt (1500m), William Lickerish (shot putt B, discus), Harry Bradley-Brophy (javelin B).  The relay squad of Ewan, Seif, Harry, Maxim, Jude, Cameron and Jamie Thomas also won the 4x100m and 4x 300m.

U15 Girls: Olivia Walsh (100m A, 200m B), Ebony Daroux (200m A), Emma McFadian (300m B), Jemima Alaka (800m B), Imogen Bennets (1500m A), Eve Taylor (1500m B), Olivia Arnold (long jump B, javelin B), Stephanie Longden (high jump A, shot putt B), Peyton Egbegi (shot putt A, discus A), Charlotte Hall (hammer B),  Connie Powell (javelin A) and Rihanna Attalah (high jump B).  The 4x100m relay squad of Olivia, Olivia, Ebony and Leia Read were also winners.

U13 boys: Matthew Olupitan (75m A, 150m A), Joshua Battye (75m B, 150m B)

U13 girls: Alexis Brown (75m A, 150m A), Hollie Sanders (75m B, 150m B).  The 4x100m squad of Anita Alaka, Alexis, Brooke Williams and Hollie won their race.

Well done to everyone involved – athletes, team managers, coaches and officials.  It was a really strong team performance – especially the U15 girls, who covered almost every event between them.  Well done to everyone, including those not mentioned who still contributed valuable points to ensure the team won.

NAC now heads into the “paper match” having done everything we can to secure the best possible outcome for the 2025 YDL-Lower season
