Upper Youth Development League – match 3 report

The third round of the 2024 YDL Upper was held in Rugby. More dedicated performances helped us consolidate our league position to fourth overall, and secure another year of premier tier competition in 2025.

There was tough competition for NAC athletes at Rugby for the 3rd round of the Upper YDL, but some great performances from the whole squad left NAC in 4th position overall, so securing our place in the premier tier again for next season.

Our individual winners were:

U17 men:  Sam Lickerish Long Jump A

U17 women: Isabelle Smith 300m A and Katie Enefer 300m Hurdles B

U20 Men: 2nd claim athlete Sammy Lok won the High Jump with a new PB of 1.98

U20 Women: Thea Oakey 1500m B, Ona Ndefo 100m Hurdles A.  In the steeplechase, Caitlin Reeves and Sandra Birina secured 1st A and B respectively, securing maximum points for NAC.

Well done to everyone involved – athletes (including those not mentioned who still contributed valuable points) team managers, coaches and officials.  Thank you, everyone.
